INSTALLATION - BETA 1.95
------------

Main steps:

1) Get & unzip dedicatedserver3339-bonuspack.zip to a directory of your choice.

2) Get & unpack ut2004-winpatch3369.zip. Be sure to copy all unpacked data (directory is named UT2004-Patch) to the serverdirectory.

3) Get & unpack tocserver_beta_1.95.zip into your UT2004 directory. Now you MUST make sure UT2004/TOCrossfire exists

4) To see your server in the serverbrowser you will need a special cd-key from Epic.
You can optain this key at http://unreal.epicgames.com/ut2004server/cdkey.php which will be send to you as a *.reg file.
Open the reg file and you're done.

5) You definitely want to edit UT2004/TOCrossfire/Conf/TOCserver.ini (Servername, Gameport, ...).
If you dont like that, just enable webadmin and configure your serverdetails there:
Go to section [UWeb.WebServer].
Set "bEnabled=True" there.
Check if ListenPort=xxxx sounds OK for you (you will need this port later, so remember it).

IF YOU DON'T/CAN'T USE THE WEBADMIN:
You have to edit the UT2004/System/TO2_Admin.ini in this case. You need to fill in a new password as a md5-hash.
Just put the generated string (acbd18db4cc2f85cedef654fccc4a4d8 for example) into Password="".
You're done.

6) Start your server:
Go to UT2004/TOCrossfire/
win_server.cmd - normal startup
win_server_64bit.cmd - as you can see, for 64bit users (note, not 64bit hardware, 64bit WINDOWS installed)
win_server_win2k.cmd - Windows 2000 only

Optional steps:

7) Connect to webadmin:
Open http://YOUR_IP:YOUR_WEBADMIN_PORT/ (http://127.0.0.1:7780/ for example)
Logon with username Admin and password 'password' first time. You should change this immediately (Click on "Admins & Groups", click on "Your Account", edit whatever you want to).

CHANGE THE PASSWORD! You have been told to.

8) Login as admin on the server:
Open a console. Type adminlogin Admin yourpassword (default is 'password'). You're done.

9) Ingame admin:
Enter the menu with "tocmenu" (remember, you need to be admin for full access).

10) Configuration on a multihost (more than one IP address):
Take a view into startserver.cmd, and add -multihome=yourip to the arguments.

11) If you want to start more than one server, just run startserver.cmd with another config-prefix.
Copy your \Conf\TOCserver.ini and \Conf\TOCserver.user.ini and rename them to:
TOCserver_1.ini and TOCserver_1.user.ini
TOCserver_2.ini and TOCserver_2.user.ini
Make sure to use different ports for every server
Use "win_server.cmd TOCserver1" and "win_server.cmd TOCserver2" to start both servers

12) For redirected downloads goto "RedirectToURL=" and change it to "RedirectToURL=http://www.yoururl.tld/files/".
Enable or disable compression there if you want.

Info: At the moment we do not support starting multiple servers with one instance of the startscript.
You HAVE to start each server seperately from each other.

It's important to note the email sent will contain an attached Win32 .REG file that may be rejected by some virus scanners. It is however safe to open.

For Windows servers, you can install it by hand by making a new String registry entry called CDKey in:

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Unreal Technology\Installed Apps\UT2004"

Warning: do not do this on a Windows computer which already has a retail UT2004 installation - it will overwrite your retail CD key with the server-only one. If this occurs, you will need to reinstall your copy of UT2004 from your original CDs.

For Linux and MacOS X servers, create the file "cdkey" and place it in your System directory. Place your server's cdkey in the file.
